Jars of Eggibolical Beauty

We did an eggibolical experiment on our counter top.  Uncooked brown eggs were soaked in mason jars filled with vinegar for 24 to 48 hours, and the shells completely dissolved.  They became rubber ovals.

We poured out the vinegar and put the eggs in tinted water.
The eggs absorbed the food coloring and are now jewel tones and exquisite.

We measured the eggs' circumferences in shell and after their vinegar bath and recorded our findings.
The eggs grew noticeably on the metric ruler.

Lined up for the mad scientists.

We are now trying to shrink them.

The eggs are in salt water and bubbles are forming over the egg's surface.
